Stop the Blinking Cursor

1. Start the Terminal application. Once the terminal opens, run the gconf-editor by typing the following command: $ gconf-editor.
2. Gconf-editor of an application, go to menu / desktop / gnome / interface, and remove the check mark in the options kursor_blink.
