Stop the Blinking Cursor

1. Start the Terminal application. Once the terminal opens, run the gconf-editor by typing the following command: $ gconf-editor.
2. Gconf-editor of an application, go to menu / desktop / gnome / interface, and remove the check mark in the options kursor_blink.
3. To test it, you can try typing in gedit, then try to edit the text. Now, although the position of the cursor on the condition of silence, the cursor display on your Ubuntu desktop is no longer blinking.
